What to Do When You Can’t Stop Thinking About Someone

When you feel like you’re in love with someone, it can be hard to fight those feelings. You might try to control them or even push them away, but when it comes down to it, there’s no easy way of doing that. So what’s the solution?
Learn how to cope with these feelings instead of trying to control them. Here are some suggestions on how to get through this tough time:
First, stop trying to control the way you feel.
- Stop trying to change your feelings. You can’t control how you feel, and no one else can either. If a person makes you happy and sad at the same time, or if they make you feel one way one day and another way the next, then it’s okay that they do so! Your feelings are valid regardless of whether or not they’re constant or consistent.
- Stop trying to make your feelings go away. As long as the relationship is healthy and suitable for both parties involved, there’s nothing wrong with feeling some combination of positive emotions (even if those emotions change over time). The key here is “healthy” — if someone is making you feel bad about yourself in any way, that’s not healthy for either party involved in the relationship!
- Don’t control how other people react when thinking about someone special (or even when around…
