What Are The Health Benefits of Drinking a Gallon of Water Everyday

You’ve probably seen someone carrying a gallon of water at the gym, school, or work. Sure, you understand the necessity of being hydrated, but do you need to drink a gallon of water every day?

According to age-old legends and wisdom, drinking a gallon of water a day will solve just about any problem we have, from weight reduction to anti-aging. You can even deceive your brain into drinking more water for those reasons. Is it, however, a myth? It’s possible that it wouldn’t help much more than reducing the number of trips to the restroom. With data showing it is possible to drink too much water, we’re getting mixed signals.

Your body is highly efficient, and it will alert you that you are thirsty. People’s water demands vary depending on their weight, activity level, how much they sweat, how hot outside, what drugs they take, and what they eat.

Of course, no one wants to get dehydrated, but that doesn’t mean you have to drink 128 ounces of water every day to stay hydrated. Take a look at the color of your urine as a decent rule of thumb. It should be a light lemonade color if you’re hydrated, but it doesn’t have to be precise.
