Let’s talk about some goals that might not seem “ideal” to people who aren’t you. For example, if you’re single, you might want to date around and date seriously before settling down with someone (or maybe never settle down).
Setting a Goal That’s Not Based on Society’s Ideology
The first step to setting a goal that’s not based on society’s ideology is to let go of the fear of being a failure, being alone, or being lonely. These are valid fears — but they don’t have to dictate your life choices. If you’re aware of them and keep them in mind (don’t let them control your decisions), you can eliminate these fears by taking action and becoming comfortable with being uncomfortable. If this sounds difficult, it is; but it’s also entirely doable if you stay focused and committed to achieving your goals instead of letting outside influences get in the way.

I know life can sometimes feel awkward when so many of your peers are having babies left and right, but if you’re not ready for parenthood or at least very sure that having children is what you want, then don’t let anyone pressure you into having them.
