Signs Someone is Untrustworthy: Clues You Shouldn’t Trust a Person
Trust is a fragile thing. It can break easily and takes an incredible amount of time to heal. Unfortunately, trust is also something that some people are never able to earn or regain.
If you’re dating someone who doesn’t have your best interests at heart, or if your friend or family member is doing something that makes you feel uneasy, but they refuse to stop it — then you should know: that when someone isn’t trustworthy, sometimes the signs are subtle enough that they slip past us unnoticed. But other times? We have no excuse for not seeing them coming. So here are some warning signs that might help you recognize when someone isn’t worthy of your trust:
They Overreact to Criticism
If someone reacts poorly to criticism, it can signal that they have low self-esteem and lack confidence. They might also be immature and have poor anger management skills.
On the other hand, if someone reacts calmly to criticism and is willing to listen without getting defensive or argumentative, it will show that you’re dealing with someone who knows themselves well enough not to take things personally; they’re secure in their own skin and confident enough not worry about what others think of them.
