In a world that is full of temptations to steer off track, it’s an empowering and rewarding experience to have accountability in your everyday life. One of the most incredible ways to practice accountability is to assign a couple of people in your life to hold you to your goals.

How to Have Better Accountability in Your Everyday Life

You can hire an accountability coach, or you can lean on a good friend or mentor to help you stay on course so you can reach your goals. If you are not self-disciplined, it can be challenging to stay focused and act accordingly. Having someone remind you and ask you about your progress on a specific project can give you that little push and motivation you need to keep moving forward and stay committed to what you want to accomplish.

A lack of accountability can lead to:

  • A loss in self-trust and from others around you
  • Unclear direction
  • Scattered priorities
  • Less engagement in things that matter to you
  • Going backward rather than forward
  • Unhealthy lifestyle habits (loss of sleep, weight gain, depression, trouble at work and in personal relationships)

One of the essential things to keep in mind when practicing more accountability in your life is creating a personal mission
