How to Combat Stress During the Holidays
The holidays are supposed to be a time of peace, joy, and goodwill. But, unfortunately, they can also be a stressful time of year. Between the hustle and bustle of shopping trips, parties, and family gatherings, it’s easy to fall into the trap of putting others’ needs before your own. However, there are ways you can manage your stress during this festive time without sacrificing your sanity!
Here are some simple ways to keep yourself sane during the holidays:
Making a list and checking it twice
One of the best ways to combat stress during this busy time is to have a plan. If you don’t already have one, it’s time to make one! So take a pen and paper and start making a list of everything you need to do this holiday season.
It’s important not only because it’ll help keep things organized but also because it can help reduce stress by helping create some amount of order out of an otherwise chaotic situation.
Once the list is complete, prioritize those tasks from most important (or urgent) at the top down until all items are accounted for on your list. Then cross off anything that cannot be done before Christmas arrives so as not to stress yourself out over trying too much at once without being able to finish any given task before its deadline approaches…
