Introverts are social creatures. We love spending time with friends, but our idea of a perfect night is by ourselves with a cup of tea or coffee (or maybe even a walk). And yet, I know that sometimes it can feel like there’s something wrong with you if you’re an introvert.

Why do some people thrive on crowds and group activities while others feel exhausted and overwhelmed? The answer lies in your social “stamina” level as an introvert. Read on if you want to learn how to build up your stamina to enjoy more social interactions without getting burned out!

Figure out what level of social stimulation you’re comfortable with

  • Figure out what level of social motivation you’re satisfied with.
  • Differentiate between introversion and shyness.
  • Know what you can handle and what you can’t.
  • Know what your triggers are, and set boundaries accordingly.
  • Don’t be afraid to say no if necessary!
