Coffee and tea are both popular beverages that people consume every day. Coffee has been a part of our culture for centuries, while tea has been consumed in Asia for thousands of years. Tea and coffee both contain caffeine, but the way that these stimulants affect your brain is very different.

This article will explore how these two beverages affect your mind differently based on their chemical composition.

Tea contains L-theanine, which, when combined with caffeine, increases your brain's neurotransmitters and focus and attention.

L-theanine is an amino acid found in green tea. When combined with caffeine, it increases the neurotransmitters in your brain and increases focus and attention.

The caffeine in tea has different functions than the caffeine in coffee. For example, the caffeine in tea is more effective than in coffee, allowing you to learn information and retain it quickly. In contrast, the caffeine in coffee is more effective at increasing alertness — especially after a long period of sleep…
