Psychological trauma can be a challenging experience to deal with, but it’s essential to know that you’re not alone. In this article, I’ll discuss psychological trauma and how it affects mental health.

What is psychological trauma?

Psychological trauma is an injury in the brain caused by exposure to a highly stressful event or situation. Trauma can result from a single event, like being involved in an auto accident, or it can be the result of repeated traumatic experiences or abuse.

Psychological trauma can also have lasting effects on mental health and well-being. If you’ve experienced a traumatic event recently, you may be dealing with both physical and emotional pain. The physical effects of psychological trauma are often apparent: broken bones or other injuries that require medical treatment are common aftereffects of severe accidents. But some people experience psychological symptoms even if they’re not aware that they’ve suffered any form of physical harm during their accident; these individuals might not realize they have PTSD until later on down the road when their symptoms become more apparent (or until someone points them out).
