For example, they may appear shy or quiet because they are filtering out unnecessary stimuli and processing information differently than people who aren’t introverted (i.e., extroverted). This means an introvert might seem like they’re ignoring you while just trying to make sense of what you’re saying instead of being rude and speaking just to speak.
