Alcohol-Free Movement: Why More People Are Choosing to be Sober
People choose not to drink because they want better health, better productivity, more money, fewer hangovers, and more fun.
Alcohol-free is the way to be.
Alcohol is not healthy. It can be addictive, causing you to spend more money on alcohol than you’d like to and harming your body in the process. Alcohol is the cause of hangovers, which can leave you feeling exhausted and groggy instead of refreshed and energized after having fun with friends. Even worse, drinking too much alcohol can cause you to lose control over your actions and make bad decisions that have consequences for yourself and others — whether that’s getting into an accident or saying something hurtful to someone special.
As more people learn about the adverse effects of drinking too much, they’re making healthier choices by choosing not to drink at all (or only occasionally). And while there are many successful non-drinkers out there don’t drink because they want to stay sober from an addiction or don’t enjoy it anyway, many others are choosing not to drink for health reasons or because doing so aligns with their values.
