How to Turn a Casual Relationship into a Secure One

When you’re in a casual relationship, it’s easy to put your entire self-worth on the line. You don’t want to be hurt, so you avoid letting people know who you are and what you care about. You may not even know how to talk about yourself without revealing too much. But if you open up slowly, over time, it will make your partner feel more secure in the relationship without feeling like they’re being bombarded with information all at once.

Talk about what you’re doing in your life — the projects that excite or challenge you; where else around town or on vacation have been great places to visit or spend time; how difficult a decision was to make at work today… you get the idea!
