10 Reasons Your Relationship is Falling Apart
Are you and your partner starting to have problems in your relationship? It happens to all couples, but it doesn’t mean a breakup is inevitable.
If there are issues in your relationship, it doesn’t mean that you should give up on it. However, it does mean that both of you need to do something about them before they start affecting other areas of your life, like work or family relationships. Here are ten reasons why a healthy relationship can suddenly fall apart:
You’re not communicating.
There’s no denying it: communication is essential to any relationship. If you’re not communicating with your partner, you won’t know what’s going on in their life or how they’re feeling about things — which means you won’t be able to tackle problems as effectively.
“The best relationships are based on good communication,” says therapist and author of The Happiness Project, Dr. Russ Harris. “We must discuss our issues and disagreements to work them out.” And if one person is keeping the other person in the dark? “That’s a huge problem.”
You’re being selfish.
- Don’t be selfish.
- Think about others, not just yourself.
- Make sure they feel special and loved by you.
